Introduction To Meteorites

What Is Meteorite?
At Quasar Jewels, we use fragments from two different meteorites, Gibeon and Muonionalusta.
These are both iron-nickel meteorites that were formed over 4.5 billion years ago, making them older than the Earth.
They were likely formed from shattered asteroids in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
The Gibeon meteorite landed in Namibia in prehistoric times and was found in 1838.
